Foundation Exam Reference Booklet
During your Foundation exam, you can refer to the four-page Reference Data for use in the Foundation Level Examination (EX307).
We strongly recommend downloading a copy now and getting familiar with it before your exam.

Course Slides, Videos & Audio
If you’d prefer to revise using a different format, we have additional versions of the Foundation Online course material available.
You’ll find downloadable slides for each section, full module videos, revision videos and audio material. These cover the same core material as the online course, so they’re particularly useful for revision or if you prefer learning by watching or listening.

Mock Tests & Exam Practice
Mock tests are most useful once you’re well through the course. You’ll get quizzes, mini-mocks and a full mock as part of your course, but additional practice is available when you need it.

Tip: If you use other mock-test websites or apps, check that they cover the current Foundation syllabus introduced on 1 April 2025.
Optional Foundation Study Guide
You don’t need to buy a book to complete the course – everything you need to study for the Foundation exam is included online.
If you’d like a printed or electronic reference alongside the course, the optional HamTrain Foundation Study Guide follows the same current Foundation syllabus and includes diagrams, tables, exam tips, a glossary and a complete mock test.
